The first edition of PSL was held by Pakistan cricket board in United Arab Emirates in 2016. in addition there was 6 teams participate in Pakistan Super League. Pakistan Cricket Board held PSL in 2016 in UAE because there was no international cricket in Pakistan that time. After many Successful PSL season Pakistan Cricket Board Decided to bring it on Pakistan soil. so they tried to agree some foreigner players to visit Pakistan for PSL. So some of them agree to come to Pakistan and some of them go back their home country from Dubai. Now all foreigners players always shows their interest to come to Pakistan for PSL because PSL in now a Brand and all foreigner players want to participate in PSL because Pakistani local players gives a quality cricket to foreigners. The owner of this team is Mr. Nadeem Omar. This team have own home Ground Bugti Stadium Located at the Ayub Sports Complex in Quetta. From first season to 8th season the captain of this team was Pakistani Wicket Keeper batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed. In 9th edition Quetta team change captain. The new Captain of this team in 9th edition is South African Batsman Rillle Russow. This team is coached by Pakistani former captain and wicket keeper batsman Moin Khan. Islamabad United:

Islamabad United is a Pakistani T20 professional team which competes in Pakistan Super League. This team is based on Pakistan Capital city Islamabad and this team was formed in 2015 from the very first season of Pakistan Super League.

This franchise is owned by Leonine Global Investments which is owned by Amna Naqvi and Ali Naqvi. Islamabad United won PSL titles two times. Multan Sultan:

Multan Sultan is also a Pakistani professional Franchise cricket team playing in Pakistan Super league and representing the beautiful city of Pakistan Multan. This team was formed in 2017 as a sixth team of Pakistan Super League. This team was introduced from the third season of Pakistan Super League.

First this team own by Schon Properties in 2017 but after they failed to pay their annual fee and their contract was terminated then in December 2018 Alamgir Khan Tareen owned this franchise. This team won its first Pakistan Super League title in 2021.

Karachi Kings:

Karachi Kings is a Pakistani Professional T20 franchise Cricket team competes in Pakistan Super League. This team is based on Pakistan largest City Karachi. This team was formed from the very first season of Pakistan super league in 2015. This teams home ground is National Stadium Karachi.

This team won their first Pakistan Super League title in 5th edition by beating their rivals Lahore Qalandars in 2020.
